A long post about a lot of crap.

The Gig

We played the final ever Spudgun show, it was at the PCYC and Kansas taped it with his sexy new camera, we SUCKED, but it was not as bad as I thought it actually was, the sound on stage was shocking, I kept on getting embarrassed cuz I thought we were so bad, then to make up for it I would say things like 'We're shit, sorry' between songs and it wasn't cool. However it kind of was because we looked like we didn't give a fuck and that's cool (right?).
Clay came up to do the sound, we played a pretty punchy set and the last song was a 'Goodbye Spudgun' song we wrote just for the gig and even tho we played it better at practice it was still allrite. Austin got really worked up trying to get the crowd to clap along. Children were scared.

In conclusion : Smile when you fuck shit up and act like you meant to fuck it up, don't make excuses, don't get all paranoid on stage, get a new guitar and stop fucking around and go for it.

We played with ROFL and The Mayday Call too, they were cool guyz, we gave out our demo and sold some demos to make up for the ones we gave away (hahaha), we actually got rid of 30 of them and sold like 10, which means we made MONEY! Which is what matters more than anything in the world. (Our demo is called 'Fnord?'. I will put up a pic soon.)

In conclusion : Make shit and sell it cuz it makes money, if your friends want a free cd cuz they're you're friends then they're not really your friends, real friends would buy the c.d.

Here's two comments from Bombshell..

simo knows all the onstage guitar moves. Quite impressive i was secretly planning to copy them and rip them off. Simo get into another band quicksmart. p.s your bassplayer was being a total arsehole. Last night was all about dr kwock. (<- that's me!)

We recorded two songs a while back at Allan's school. Superslut & Sabotage. They have now been mixed by Allan, I haven't heard them yet but Austin had this to say in an e-mail..

"Mr P.
I cought up with allan after i left your place last night and got to hear what he has done to the recording.
Its FUCKING QUALITY MAN!~!!! the songs are "tight as fuck" however, the vocals almost sound like they've been recorded in a massive room.. but there is nothing you can do about it.
speak to allan about getting the cd... i would suggest to meet him after work when you get home.. i'll be over at some point tonight.. as for the tracks.. we need to cut the vocals again.. but that can be done with no problems.. other than that.. al has exceeded my expectations.. the tracks are tight.. the songs are wicked..

So we might add them to the demo or something, i'm on my way to writing lyrics for the e.p that is still to be finished *groan* writing lyrics sucks.

The Practice

Huh? you mean the crap t.v. show? No actually I practiced with Budge and Case, (now ex-members of Spudgun) the other day. It was interesting (Case is the guy that Zoe my ex that I loved hooked up with days after dumping me (as if we don't all know already, but sometimes we get strangers in the site that need a bit of catching up to do.. (ooh look brackets in brackets in brackets) but we'll get to that later (it's ok i'm over it)) and he fucked up my old P.A system and never admitted it) right.. where was I, oh yeah, well it wasn't really THAT interesting, but it was o.k, we wrote a quick song which sounds 28 days-y and though they are crap (i've heard their new album kills it however) it was cool. Which sort of upsets me because if I start writing good songs with another band then i'm going to want to take them for MY band and yeah, it's tricky. I'm not serious about starting a band with them really because i'm in two other bands but who knows.

Greg & Donna

Greg our guitar-tech-teacher-zen-hitler-house-stone-man Cooper is going to break up with his girlfriend Donna soon. The reason is that he doesn't want to have any more kids (already having fathered 2) and she hasn't had kids and as we all know, we-men have this thing in them that makes them want to have kids, so Greg is scared shitless that she's going to get preggers and he will lose all his SLACK.
This is deep shit, he's doing the right thing, kids take away your slack and only recently (now that his kids are growing up) has Greg been able to get his slice of the slack-pie.
He wants to focus on music and live in slack so tough choices had to be made. Better that they break up now rather than ten years down the line. He being unhappy because he's got another child and no slack, or she being unhappy because she got no child of her own.

In conclusion : SLACK MUST ALWAYS COME FIRST.

On that same topic, it seems it's breakup season, Kansas got dumped & so did Tim. They were heaps depressed. I could give them no advice. Except for (what a hypocrit!) 'Ride the wave!'
Megan broke up with Kennan and is back from Queensland (yay!).

MONKEY CHEESE

If you search for 'Monkey Cheese' in Yahoo, this site in Number One! Can you believe it!? Back before the days of Google (the most evil company in the universe) this would have been a huge achievement. But now no one has any time for poor old Yahoo and it's been rotting away for a while now. Still i'm quite stoked, thanks to Carl the infiltrator subgenius from the internet who had the common sense to look up 'Monkey Cheese' through Yahoo and find this site. Well done.

More..

As I said this is a long entry...pfft.. YOU ASSHOLES DON'T EVEN READ MY SITE! AND I PUT SO MUCH EFFORT INTO IT SOMETIMES!!

Christopher Reeves is Dead!

That's crazy! Austin gave me a book called 'Care Packages' for my birthday which is a compilation of all the letters Superman got after his accident. Not only that but his birthday is on the same day as mine. I reckon his wife is a legend by sticking by him and he's a legend for increasing the awareness of stem cell research then carking it so that his wife and can move on and get a new man.

Presents

That book (actually he gave me two) was one of the best presents i've ever gotten in my life.
Why? I've actually thought about this and this is the reasons i believe it was such a good present. It was bought spontaneously which was the first important point, the rest are...
  1. It was cheap.
  2. Austin knew that only I would appreciate something as irreverent as that.
  3. Which means there was thought behind it.
  4. It came with a bookmark.
  5. It was a book. Books are great presents.
  6. It was nice, not too big, not too small, just right.
  7. I'm serious, I was stoked, not even my mum could've gotten me such a good present.
  8. It shows that Austin knows who I am, and that's the most important present of all.

Awww... it's true. A present should be a validation of the person it's being given to, it's a way of communicating and yeah, presents are important. Don't be fooled into thinking that once you're old you don't deserve presents. That's bullshit.

Liberals Win

It says : I don't know who you are but i'm very good @ research.

The damn Libs won (rigged). It's weird, I wasn't quite sure who to vote for until Labour lost and then i felt this kinship with Labour and noticed how well Mark Latham handled the loss and thought shit, i should've voted labour (i didn't vote at all). I did go to vote, but i wasn't registered. I actually saw David Bradbury there (the guy who represents Labour out here in Lindsay) as I walked past I said to him 'I'm voting for you, but only because i hate Jackie Kelly'. You could tell it got to him a bit, but he handled it well saying he'll take them any way he can.
After the election I had a dream that I was hanging with Latham and he was really cool but also very sad about losing, I think he cried. Now I have de-ja-vu.

I dunno if I like him still. I think he might be a freemason but that's just my paranoid delusional alter ego speaking. Hey, just cuz you're not paranoid doesn't mean they're not after you. (I also think Australia is a testing ground, just like it is for new products, for new laws & politics).

Shit, is that it, are you done now Pablo? Can we go home now to eat. You think your stupid friends are going to read this far, let alone a stranger? Nah but you do it for you don't you. Ohh now you're typing to yourself, and some old lady is trying to look at your screen.

Lately I've been listening to : Jane's Addiction.

I've been eating : Mi-Go-Reng fried noodles.
