.. summer unknown, its face occasionally, not here to stay. Take it when you can, it taunts. So the few beach days are treasured. Nicholas and I playing battleships on rubber dingys beside million dollar yachts, secluded beaches and maxibons, Bec in Bondi teaches her cute cousin to surf as we look at the topless women and smile. Life couldn't get any better, could it? Mouth is sore, wisdom teeth coming out, pushing the structure out of alignment, chewing a chore. A single life, day by day, no one tries to stop it, in any way...

So many thoughts and to catalog them all? The wonder of the internet, the union it creates, symbiotic and exponential growth, the equality of man, a mechanic versus a scientist?

The proverbial carrot, the light at the end of the tunnel, the desperation and hopeless self denial, yes, this is work. But time bides its most awful treasures, and 'we know not what we wish for'. Dreams trashed and the future continues like the time line of a sequencer, so fast, so fast, slower, is it even moving? Yet its moving at the same speed it always was. The perspective has changed.

Single life, bachelor life, newspapers and tea, pasta for a week, online television and that terrible Da Vinci book that shames to be read on the morning train of agony. Ugh, the people.. If it wasn't for the people.. the dreary souls passed out with looks of contempt, sunken eyes, countenance of death.. in the node.. to connect again, drain a little more.

Brief summary of events -

Mid Jan W.End - Purple Sneakers, 'look at my shoes, look at my shoes! DONT LOOK AT THEM!', freakout on P and met some nice girls. Dinner at bad BAD restaurant, spanish restaurant for D & Als Bday. But waitress liked me and I was too shy. Allan decides to move in. Regular band pracs at home with clear progress and maturity in music and style. New MicroKontrol, takes two weeks to learn but finally get it. Chilled days at home and no one around.

Called grandparents and talked for hours, Grandfather gives me personal advice. Learn music, move to Melbourne, leave the fray if you know you can, if you believe it you will do it, dont be an aficionado, dont be the masses.

20.01.06 W.End - Friday and an excellent band prac followed by the best Pizza in Sydney and a couple of beers, then retardation as a doob and synths come into play. A quiet day followed by an endless trip to Redfern to Kims Polystigma reunion, miss the show but hang with Kim and Case and have a great time at Newtown at Kims and a random party. Nothing eventful but K&C make for a good time. Head to Zoes appartment, arrive at 3 a.m, chill on floor and mildly out of place, chat and pass out, walking home to meet Austin at Edgecliff and into Penrith to play Zelda with Matt. Good time. Mum is happy with Ian tho fears still exist, but he buys her a fan, looks after her, I talk to Debbie about paying rent.. she doesn't like that. So Austin picks me up and gives me some muffins.. sets the tone for a way out band prac, good prac however, we all go home and another week of hopeless, underpaid, overworked, drudgery, at Virgin Mobile.

Last Weekend of December 2006 -

Rachels final day in Australia and what more a fitting departure than a porkers gig at the Annandale. Resolute to go Dennis and Stixx joined me and the unlikely trio met with our very own Ms.Williams to wish her well in her travels to Buenos Aires and abroad. The Porkers were great as usual, maybe not their tightest set but their songs transcend that, they are an institution! And far happier than the previous time we'd seen them where Pete Porker clearly had the shits. Rachel and I met a woman called Tanya, she was in her 30's..

"It only gets better from here! The money is better, the sex is better, you have more fun! I love it! You think you're getting old? don't worry! Life only gets better and better!"

She had a shine in her eye and the purest of smiles. Rachel and I fell in love. Dancing the night away, we sat out back and listened to some of the Skankerchiefs, the band Rachel will be leaving behind to follow her adventure. "They're fucking perfect! Its the best shit man! Listen to this Sax! NO Listen to this Organ! THIS is what I'm leaving behind Pablo!.."

It's the cliche, as soon as we have it, we run away from it. As soon as things are perfect, we look to new pastures, never sitting around to enjoy our rewards, always leaving before we can wreck what we have created!

Ah but I'll miss Rachel, and be jealous as well. I made her promise to buy a digital camera so I expect many photo's of her world travels.

Which will surely not follow her initial plans.

So Saturday we went to Dennisses to gather and to then celebrate new years in Bondi. Bec Parker came. She looks great! and cool as always. Brett came over with his boyfriend, it took him to bring his boyfriend for Austin to finally believe the man is gay. Bretts' brother Stephen is also gay. They're two sons.

The parents know about Stephen but not about Brett. He took me into his car to listen to his brother's surprisingly good dance music, (who would have expected that a computer geek would turn to running a label and making dance music.. everyone I suppose) ..

"How do I tell my parents that this is it?, the end of the line.. how do I tell them that the name is not going to pass on, that this is the last generation?"

"Whoaaa.. Heaavvvyyyy... sooo heavy.. ohh man.. whoaa hahaha.."

..was the best answer I could give.

The night was spent with the crew walking around Bondi and wishing we could get closer to the Basement Jaxx gig we thought we could hang behind the strage at the beach. The boys had done it last year, this year the fuzz was onto the idea. Watching hooligans act tough and policemen chase them up and down the beach it reminded me of a british comedy or parody.

The long walk back home and the E's hit, we talked band, music, watched simpsons, Bec and Sarah came back and the topic changed to Making Jeff Fat.

Our goal for 2007 is to make Jeff gain twice his weight. Sarah was onto it "Gather around children, so you want to make a man fat? This is how you make someone fat".. and so with the skills and strategies that only a grand master of psychological mind play can harness she latched onto our good cause and gave us direction.. we have a good leader to our cause.

Sunday was trash city, as the guys went to Field day and got mega trashed on all sorts of synthetic and organic chemicals and solutions, I stayed with Jeff and Fatty. Watching telly and complaining, until coming home to a messy house to pass out on an unkempt bed and look forward to a new year. 2007. Completion.
