'Look ma! I painted a wall!'
I'm sitting in my bed too scared to get out, fearful of the chilly morning (midday) air. It's a Sunday and I feel a little 'off'. I missed the 'Game On' talk/conference (it was last week, I'm an idiot).
It has been a big and creative week!
Jesse had his favorite ex (Mie) and her sister (Claire) visit for the week. I met them while coming down off acid in Milo's room, while watching WWII documentaries and shooting at the roof with fake laser rifles. They were cool from the start.
The girls came over to my house during the week, I ran into them on the street and invited them, the rest of the gang showed up, I found a chipboard with Steve that was on the road so we brought it into my room and started painting. I quickly got a one day crush on Claire, it was a full moon, we were painting, we went out and graffed over the ad of a new gentrification causing development on Sydney road, and goon was plentiful. My eyes were seeing stars. I told Milo about my crush that night. "Every man need to dream sometimes Pablo", was his reply.
He was right, of course, she has a BF in Sydney and it was just a one day crush. The next night we went out painting on the wall next door. (Pic at top of post).
I've been planning on hitting up that wall for a while, before it just had ugly grafitti and swearing on it, I wanted to make something nice for my local environment without being too professional or of a generic grafitti style. We spent an hour in the middle of the night painting, I don't think any of us realized how colorful the whole thing was until Milo shone his car headlights on it!
That was a highlight of the week, also, I got the high score on the local Pac-Man machine.
That's one intense game! By level four if you are not shitting your trackies, then you are a man of steel and shouldn't be playing Pac-Man in the first place.
Milo got into Galaga and so did Jesse, setting personal high scores of 18,000. I've been really enjoying video games since I started reading 'The Ultimate History of Video Games', (It turns out video games were pretty much spearheaded by a bunch of stoner acid geeks!).. anyway we must have pumped $30 into the machine.
I can not wait to go to the Game On expo with Steve. He's had panic attacks the last few times we've tried to go, but hopefully this week... God bless ACMI for keeping the exhibition open for 3-4 months, that might just be enough time for us to get off our ass and make it.
Rachel and Louis came over on Saturday night, I can't believe my best friend is Pregnant! It's so amazing that she's calling her daughter 'Ripley' after the main character Ripley from Aliens, which in case you don't know, is the.greatest.movie.ever.made.
Anyway I'm really excited about being an uncle and buying little booties and toys for Ripley! Then looking after her when she's 5 and letting her stay up, eating cookies and making a mess. It's so exciting to be an uncle, you get all the good and very little of the bad! Yay!

hey i had this dream sort of picture where ripley was kicking mud puddles with carolines kid and it was a tomato harvest festival and megs was laughing and we all had tomato juice flowing off our faces, the dogs. and they were kicking puddles because all of us was dancing (there was a big band and jet was blowing a supernova sax) with this collective energy (i remember you laughed) and a space hole opened up in the sky and beamed us up and you were working with john connor on secret plans in the ship, milo was firing space cannons and blowing up terminator presidents while jesse was shouting 'fuck yeah'and eating bananas...
(pixie was off somewhere charging through a night forest with slash on a steel mare)
