I love going to the Laundromat.

There's this feeling I get of collective energy being transmuted, an atmosphere there which encapsulates all that is good about Brunswick, where the locals go to wash off their dirt, read a newspaper and look at gig posters.

The place is always warm, heated by whirring dryers that leave clothes so soft and inviting. Sometimes I feel like going even if I don't have anything to wash.

There's also a communal book for people to write on. This latest one I had to share, it's very entertaining (you can read the pages better by clicking on them). My favorite bit is where the Laundry King tells the guy who lost $2 to get a life.
